Gabrielle Chanel once said, “The more feminine a woman is, the stronger she is.” This saying is fully exhibited in the Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 eyewear collection.
Jackie O sunglasses take on the color that the popular Chanel two-toned shoes from 1957. Color combinations come in tortoiseshell with beige, black with beige, black with grey, black with white and matt black with tweed black.
A woven tweed pattern incorporated in the lower half of the frames, coupled with the gentle curvature of the Jackie O style glasses, play with the contrast between strength - as exuded by the tweed, and femininity - as exuded by the soft curves. Just like Jackie O, the two-toned range is feminine with a tough edge.
The ribbon glasses range feature eyewear with a hint of aviator styles and a hint of rocker chic. The tails of metal ribbons circle the frames while the bows adorn the hinges at the arms. Ribbons - a wholly feminine accessory, carved in hard, strong metal.
